National Center for Policy Analysis

The NCPA is pleased to announce the next speaker in its series of
Economic Policy Forum and Author Luncheons:

Linda Chavez

Chair, Center for Equal Opportunity, syndicated columnist,
FOX News commentator and author
NCPA Sumners Lecture Series

Linda Chavez's topic will be:
"How to Create an Immigration Policy that Works for America"

In her book titled Out of the Barrio: Toward a New Politics of Hispanic Assimilation, Chavez explodes the stereotypes about Hispanics that have clouded the minds of patronizing liberals and xenophobic conservatives alike.

National Review described Chavez's memoir, An Unlikely Conservative: The Transformation of an Ex-Liberal, as a "brilliant, provocative, and moving book."  Chavez's latest book, Betrayal: How Union Bosses Shake Down Their Members and Corrupt American Politics, describes how unions divert hundreds of millions of dollars into political campaigns, often without their members' knowledge or permission, and the public policy consequences that ensue.

Linda Chavez is chairman of the Center for Equal Opportunity and also writes a weekly syndicated column that appears in newspapers across the country. She is a political analyst for the FOX News Channel.
